Performance Standards
A 'need' suggests there's a standard of performance to be attained. We could also help your organisation to develop a competence-based (outcomes) or competency-based (inputs) approach which will ensure the quality of your personnel in contributing to organisational performance. In addition, we could establish your own in-house framework for accreditation or align you for accreditation with an external awarding body.
Job Profiles
These are a Person Specification, Job Description, Appraisal Framework and Self-management tool rolled into one. They clearly show the expectations of a role, how its success is measured, where evidence of that success resides and the skills and knowledge essential for the Job-holder to fulfil the role. They can be used as an aid to recruitment, an indicator of training needs for training and development, a self-management and management working document, and as a basis for maintaining or reviewing performance standards. All in a simple layout.
Organisations who claim to ‘empower’ their people can enhance that culture through adopting these Job Profiles. Without them, the framework that underpins the culture of dealing with your own employees from start to finish is embedded in vague inputs and activities, not accomplishments and desirable outcomes. Now employees will not only know what their job is, they’ll also know what it looks like when it’s done well!
